CEO Destiny – Do You Qualify?
I’ve launched my new website – CEO Destiny. Don’t you just love that description: launched. There’s so much adventure, to embark on a journey, senses keenly picking up on the smell of the salt air, the snap of the wind in the sails, the motion of the vessel as it navigates the waves.
It’s a powerful image, but there’s something even more powerful and magical. For myself I’ve taken a completely unrelated event, a new website, and woven it into a story with such a vivid picture. Very creative, and far from unique. We all have that gift of imagination.
What is really amazing is your role: you can take the words I’ve written and see your own image with such detail that you might even have the sensation in your belly that comes when those waves get a little too rough. Even if you say, “I’m just remembering a similar experience” I will still remind you that unless you are on that physical boat right now you have an absolute miracle taking place.
Amazing. Back to CEO Destiny. Who qualifies for CEO Destiny? Are there tests, or other qualifying factors?
When do we ever use the word “Destiny” in our vocabulary? The meaning of destiny holds more questions, and possibilities, than many other words. Woven into this word are concepts like “inevitable”, something that cannot help but happen. Is it a blessing or a curse to know that it is inevitable that something will come about?
The word “Fortune” is also associated with destiny, as if some have more luck than others. How much is luck determined by our beliefs? Better yet lets ask an empowering question: “Can blessings determine destiny?”
Are you a CEO? Perhaps not the CEO of a company or organization, but you are the CEO of your life. What is your destiny? Do you wake up every morning looking forward to the inevitable success of the day? Do you pause at the end of the day to give thanks for everything you have received, and set the tone for tomorrow?
I can almost feel the mist in the air, and taste the salt in every breath. As I look out over the horizon I cannot help but smile, knowing that great adventures await me. Blessing to the journey, blessings to the voyage. The launch is complete, and I embark on the adventure as though it is my Destiny.
