Summer Solstice June 2009 – Where will you be?
The Summer Solstice is soon to arrive, where will you be on that day? I’ll be at the Healing Drum Retreat in Yelm, Washington! This event begins on Friday with a drum making class, and many attending for the weekend will be checking in to Brighton Creek Conference Center, getting comfortable in their cabin, and enjoying a great cup of tea and socializing.
On Saturday we have so many healing, enriching experiences awaiting. We will talk about selfish/selfless/self and releasing with honor. We will have native crafting, and energy healing. Let’s not forget the drumming! This retreat we will debut the new big drum, a beautiful buffalo with a deep tone. Everyone will take part in the blessing of this drum.
Saturday night we have a campfire with smudging, songs and stories. Everyone has such a great time, and the smiles are brighter and warmer than the fire could ever be!
Sunday we awaken to another wonderful breakfast, and we will greet the sun (well, 9am that is) with the tradition of opening our hearts and freeing our minds. What will the day have to offer? Many more enjoyable activities before our conclusion at 3pm.
This event is open to anyone seeking to discover self and heal. It is non denominational (omni-denominational), and those who attend truly enjoy our sharing moments.
There is still time to register – and between you and me, I’ll even extend our discounted price ONE MORE DAY – which means that if you register by end of day June 15, 2009 you will get an additional $15 off the already low cost of $200. Meals and lodging are included in your registration fee, as well as all activities, but if you want to make a drum there will be additional costs, and we will need to discuss the hides available as well as ring size.
